Trim cotton wicks to 1/4 inch or wooden wicks to approximately 1/8–3/16 inch, remove any loose decorative material near the flame, and allow for possible natural wax runoff where decorative wax is present. Burn no longer than four hours at a time, keep away from drafts and flammable materials, never leave unattended, and stop use when approximately 1/2 inch of wax remains.
