Trim cotton wicks to approximately 1/4 inch and wooden wicks to approximately 1/8–3/16 inch before burning. Use the snuffer to extinguish flames. Use the wick dipper only with cotton wicks for dipping, retrieving, or recentering. Allow tools to cool and wipe away cooled wax with a soft cloth.
